Why is get  marriage  in Denmark  better through an agency?

 

 

The desire to save on agency costs is understandable. But can you really save so much here, or will such “savings” lead to even more  costs?

In the end your marriage costs in Denmark through an agency will be much cheaper than without an agency.

 

 

 1️⃣  Without an agency you  anyway can't get everything completely free of charge: at least 1,650 Danish kroner (approx. 220 euros) you have to pay to the Danish town hall  as a processing fee. If the town hall  refuses your wedding  for any reason, this money will NOT be returned to you.

 

2️⃣ The reasons for rejection can vary, but most of the main reasons are:  suspected fake marriage or  the lack of the required documents, or if these documents were not submitted in time, usually within 2 weeks.

 

The town hall normally  does not explain where and how these necessary documents should be created. The Danish town hall  simply sends you a message  that you have to provid the missing documents within 2 weeks. And if you don't send these documents within these two weeks, your application will be rejected without a refund of 220 euros.

 

And then you have to apply again to the Danish town hall  and pay this 220 euros again. If this time you get  again rejection,  you  get not  back   your  220 euros again, and so without end. Ultimately, such costs can be much more than the total cost of our agency's services - 1100 Euro.

3️⃣ All correspondence and telephone communication with the Danish town hall regarding your application is only in English. For many people it is difficult. Because for example,  you should   convince the town hall  in English that you do not want fictitious marriage.

5️⃣ The permission to get married in a central Danish town hall  (family law authority) is only half the story. After the marriage permission  has been issued, you must contact the Danish town hall  where the ceremony will take place and make there  arrangement   of the date of the marriage. There are often large queues in many Danish town halls  and the waiting time can be 2-3 months. Through our agency, your marriage can take place on the second day after receiving a wedding permit from the  central Danish town hall  (family law authority).
